The Jeans That Stopped Fitting
Hello. And welcome.
If you’re reading this, you’ve either stumbled here by accident, someone sent you a link with a cryptic “you need this” message, or you typed “how to stop feeling like a fraud” into Google at 2 AM.
Whoever you are, you’re in the right place.
I’m the guy behind Migrant Me. Not because I’ve moved countries (though I have), but because I’ve moved, and am still moving, through versions of myself that didn’t quite fit. Like a pair of jeans that felt great in the store but started strangling you by lunch.
This blog is about that uncomfortable, necessary, occasionally embarrassing process of looking at yourself and saying: “Whoa. We need to talk.”
So, what exactly is this place?
Migrant Me is a personal blog about modern masculinity. But before you click away thinking this is going to be another screed about “manning up” or “alpha wolves” or how to grow a beard with essential oils, relax. That’s not us.
I’m not here to tell you how to be a man. I’m here to talk about what it means to be a good one. In 2026. With all the weirdness, confusion, and contradictory signals that come with that.
Think of this as a conversation between two guys who are figuring it out together. No lecturing. No “my way or the highway.” Just honest, grounded, occasionally self-deprecating talk about the stuff that actually matters: mental strength (not the “grind until you break” kind, but the kind that lets you sit with your feelings without spiraling), physical discipline (because moving your body is non-negotiable, even if your version is “walk the dog 20 minutes, then lie down”), career and purpose (how to make money without losing your soul), and relationships (with partners, kids, friends, and the guy in the mirror).
Basically: Rebuild Yourself. Master Your Mind. That’s our tagline. That’s the goal.
Notice I said “rebuild,” not “build from scratch.” Because you’ve already got something to work with. Some days it’s a foundation. Some days it’s a pile of rubble. Both are fixable.
A confession (with a touch of humor)
I’ve started this blog exactly four times. On paper, in Notes apps, in my head at 3 AM while staring at the ceiling. Each time, I stopped for the same reasons: who am I to give advice, there are already 10,000 blogs about masculinity, do I even know what I’m talking about, and, the one that kept me quiet longest, what if my ex-girlfriend reads this?
But here’s what I realized: you don’t need to be a guru to have valuable things to say. You just need to be a little further down the path than someone else, and willing to point back and say, “Watch out for that pothole. I definitely fell in it. Twice.”
I’ve fallen in a lot of potholes. Some of them were really just manhole covers. Some were sinkholes. One was a slightly damp patch of grass that I dramatically mistook for a cliff.
The point is: I’m not writing this because I have all the answers. I’m writing this because I’m asking the right questions. And I think you are too.
What you can expect going forward
This blog will be a mix of practical guides that actually work (not the kind that just sound good on paper), personal essays that are raw and honest and maybe a little too much information, book recommendations on what I’m reading and what changed my thinking, mistakes I’ve made so you can learn from them without the bruises, and the occasional rant because some things just need to be said. And always, always with a sense of humor—because if you can’t laugh at yourself while trying to become a better man, you’re going to have a miserable time. And so will everyone around you.
But here’s the honest part
I don’t want to just write for you. I want to write with you.
The whole point of this blog is connection. That feeling of reading something and going, “Yes. That’s exactly it. I thought I was the only one.”
So I need you to talk back. Comment. Email. Disagree. Tell me I’m wrong. Tell me I’m onto something. Share what’s working for you and what’s not.
Because this isn’t a monologue. It’s a dialogue. And I’m genuinely curious about where it goes.
So, what’s next?
Stick around. Subscribe if you’re into that sort of thing. I won’t spam you—I promise to only send things that matter.
The first few real posts are coming soon. We’ll dive into:
Why modern men are lonelier than ever (and what to do about it)
The 20-minute daily workout for guys who hate working out
How to stop apologizing for taking up space
And maybe, just maybe, a definitive ranking of the best podcasts to feel smarter while folding laundry
One last thing
I know starting something new is scary. I know putting yourself out there feels vulnerable. Believe me, I’m hitting “publish” with sweaty palms and a voice in my head saying, “Who do you think you are?”
But that’s exactly the voice we’re learning to quiet. Together.
So welcome to Migrant Me.
Let’s rebuild. Let’s master. Let’s laugh a little along the way.
And if nothing else, let’s at least make sure we’re not wearing jeans that are too tight.
See you in the next post.
